Open Letter to Ted Nugent

Dearest Ted Nugent,

This was bound to happen. I saw this coming because it was inevitable. I just didn't know when or how it would come about, but Ted Nugent, you were going to piss me off to the point where I immortalize you in my blog. Why do I bestow such an honor on such an asshat like yourself? Well it's because you had the unmitigated temerity to call Stevie Wonder "brain dead" for boycotting performing in Florida and any other state where there are "stand your ground" laws on the books.

First off Ted, for you to call ANYONE brain dead is hilarious. You are dumber than a box of rocks, period. Now while you are smart enough to get your "fans" to buy your music, that doesn't say much about your fans. Anyway, during an interview with radio station WXBR you had the gall to say, "So 700 black people, mostly young children and young people were slaughtered in Chicago last year by black people, and not a peep out of Stevie Wonder. Are you kidding me? What is this, ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’? How brain-dead do you have to be?" You then went on to say that you would pray for Stevie and "all those other numnuts who think that Trayvon Martin's life was more important than the tens of thousands of slaughtered Blacks at the hands of Blacks". I'm actually wondering how you know there wasn't a "peep" out of Mr. Wonder regarding the violence in Chicago. Are you monitoring all the airwaves? Are you big brother?

Ted, to name call is well within the wheel house of your massive ego and it speaks to the unreachable depths of your ignorance. To call someone brain dead because that someone chooses to not preform somewhere until there is change in that state is mind boggling. Now to think that you all of a sudden care about the "tens of thousands" of Blacks who have been killed at the hands of other Blacks is heartwarming, but I am not buying. To call Stevie Wonder brain dead, a man with more style, grace, class, talent, and dignity than you have ever known at anytime in your life pisses me off. What you and quite a few others are obviously too stupid to understand is that Stevie doesn't and neither does anyone else thinks Trayvon's MURDER is more important that anyone else's MURDER. What Stevie is saying is that until Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah abolishes that law, they won't be making any money off his back until that happens. That law that has been used by Black defendants who have killed other Black people.

Stand your ground laws isn't a white people against Black people law, it's just a law. One that Stevie and now many other artists along with citizens want done away with. Do you get that Ted, you right wing jackass? It's not about thinking one persons MURDER is any more or less important than the MURDER of anyone else. All they want, you brain dead bastard, is to be rid of that ridiculous law. So save your prayers Ted, or better yet pray for yourself since you need some kind of guidance and understanding.

Sincerely,

 Me
