Today I finally cried over your passing. I think I was too in shock to let the emotion of your death touch me, today though it happened. Your gentle soul and warm smile will be missed by millions you have touched. Almost single-handedly you saved your beloved South Africa after being released from prison for no reason other than wanting equal rights for you, your family, and your people for twenty seven years.
All my icons are dead now, you were the last of them and I will miss you more than I have the words to convey. Thank you for showing me a different way, thank you for your courage and your infinite grace, thank you for your fighting spirit, thank you for being you.
Rest in peace Madiba, for you have surely earned it.
This song is by British musician Johnny Clegg called "Asimbonanga," which was written in the 1980s calling for Mandela's release from prison.

Their thunderous chorus sang of such strength and beautiful harmony. A fitting tribute to a man who brought the same to his people and his country. I was moved to tears as well. Wonderful post, M. You are not alone in mourning a great, great man.
